Located in Painscastle near Hay-on-Wye, The Roast Ox Inn offers a perfect getaway in the Welsh Borders - great beer, excellent food and great accommodation.

Tony and Julie welcome you to their dog friendly pub where dogs are welcome in the bar area. If you wish to dine with fur friends, please ensure you book in advance as there are a limited number of tables in the bar area. Please note, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area.

Our resident cat, Michael, will almost certainly be in the bar area to welcome you and your guests.

Sunday Lunch is particularly popular at the Roast Ox and to avoid disappointment we strongly recommend you book in advance.
